I wasn't looking forward to this film because for some unknown reason, this was the movie of choice at my Middle School and High School to show when there was a substitute. Because of that I'd seen in about a thousand times.
One thing I realized, though, when we watched it was that I had only seen the entire film a few times - and this time I watched it I had a greater appreciation for all of the time periods, movements, famous events, etc. that Forrest was a part of. What an interesting idea for a movie - I really enjoyed it this time.
