It was interesting to see the "real time" filmography in this one.  I enjoyed the characters, the plot and Cooper's performance in this classic - much better than many westerns.

One thing that bothered me was the whole relationship between Kane (Gary Cooper) and his Quaker wife Amy.  Toward the end of the movie, Amy abandons her religious convictions and shoots one of their assailants in the back.  Seriously?  Apparently love is more important than morals.  (I know this was not the point of the film, but it bothered me all the same...)
