I'd never seen Rocky and wasn't expecting much from a boxing movie but I heartily enjoyed this one. The theme song, Sylvester Stallone, and of course the training montages - so wonderful. I'm glad that an inspirational sports movie made it into the Top 100 - its an important American Film Genre. This movie is not just an inspirational sports film though - it's funny and heartfelt, well-acted, and well made overall. It was fun to watch.

Em - another funny Mom & Dad story on this movie. For some reason Sioux Falls was one of the test markets for the movie so we went to see it with absolutely NO preconceptions and absolutely loved it. Then, about a month later Maynard Ferguson played our homecoming dance so we went (I think it was the only college dance we attended.)
